 is versatile as it is affordable. The C 4000 B studio condenser microphone is designed for vocal and instrument recording in both, professional and project studios. The microphone features the industries first 1 inch (25mm) dual diaphragm assembly. The microphones low-noise floor is an impressive 8dBa, with a reference value of 0.5% THD at a level of 145dB. In addition AKG C4000B offers an equally impressive dynamic range of 137dB. All this provides high headroom, low distortion and noise specifications that rival microphones at higher price points. A cardioid, hyper-cardioid and omni-directional switch is provided and gives AKG C4000B its versatility. Switchable polar patterns allow the microphone to be used for various situations. A switchable 10dB pad extends the operating range, allowing the mic to be used with excessively loud instruments as well as vocals.

Switchable Polar Patterns
The AKG C 4000 B features 3 switchable polar patterns. Users can select between cardioid, hyper-cardioid and omni-directional depending on the application.

Low Noise Floor
AKG C 4000 B microphone boasts a noise floor value of 8dBa, reaching a reference value of 0.5% THD at a level of 145dB. The end result is transparent audio signal without noise.

Low Cut Filter
A 12dB/octave low cut filter at 100Hz removes rumble or excessive proximity effect.

Integrated Wind Screen
An internal wind screen is provided by AKG C4000B minimizing wind noise and poping affect as a result of close proximity recording of vocals.

Includes Shock Mount
The AKG H-100 shock mount further minimizes rumbling and handling noise by providing adequate shock absorption.
