 is a full-featured, USB-powered studio-in-a-box that works with Window XP or Mac OS X and provides a compact, portable, professional-quality audio production system. With a distinctive hardware interface that delivers exceptional sound quality, the Digidesign Mbox 2 Factory interface works in conjunction with the computer and Pro Tools LE software to provide the creative power needed to achieve professional results.

Complementing the hardware interface's analog, digital and MIDI I/O, Pro Tools LE software offers 32 tracks of simultaneous recording and playback, 128 virtual tracks, 256 MIDI tracks and a host of additional features. The Mbox 2 Factory Bundle also ships with the Pro Tools Ignition Pack, an array of added composition and production tools that extends the power of the system, plus a set of Digidesign and Bomb Factory plug-ins that are exclusive to the Factory Bundle with an iLok USB Smart Key that has the plug-ins preauthorized.

The Digidesign Mbox 2 Factory Bundle plug-ins consist of Bomb Factory's moogerfooger Analog Delay, JOEMEEK SC Photo Optical Compressor and VC5 Meequalizer, Cosmonaut Voice and Digidesign Maxim.

Joemeek VC5 Meequalizer
An equalizer that recreates a custom Joe Meek box that featured a treble and bass circuit with a sweepable mid control.

Cosmonaut Voice
An "out-of-this-world" plug-in that offers a telephone voice, interplanetary effects, distortion, squelch, and even an authentic tone culled from recently declassified Russian space footage, all through a funky-looking interface.

About Mbox 2
Mbox 2, the update to the popular Digidesign Mbox, melds the Mbox's legendary Pro Tools LE performance with MIDI I/O to make it the ultimate USB audio/MIDI interface. This next-generation LE interface has 2 channels, each featuring an XLR mic input with preamp, 1/4" instrument jack, and a TRS line-level jack. There are also S/PDIF I/O, monitor L/R 1/4" outs, and a USB out. Compact and versatile, the Mbox 2 is a go-anywhere interface with truly professional audio capabilities, thanks to 24-bit/48kHz A/D/A and seamless Pro Tools functionality.
