 Motion Dive Tokyo Performance Package is a software-hardware combination package that is designed as a video performance instrument. The Edirol MD-P1-S package consists of the renowned Motion Dive Tokyo Performance Package visual software and an MD-P1 dedicated control console. This Edirol MD-P1-S combination allows visual performances to be taken to a new level of artistry using intuitive DJ mixer-like controls such as crossfaders and knobs.

Using this Edirol MD-P1-S package, visuals can be played and remixed in real-time along with music. Other key features of Edirol MD-P1-S include a two-channel video controller and smooth A/B fader to alternate between channel A and B, and buttons that allow you to "scratch" with clips rhythmically. Control knobs also allow you to manipulate color-EQ effects and beats per minute. Images can even be generated from note and velocity information input via external MIDI devices, such as Roland's V-Drums, synthesizers, and sequencers.

Motion Dive accepts QuickTime movies and most formats from digital cameras, as well as AVI, MPEG, and Adobe Flash files. Both the connection to your computer and power source are provided through the controller's USB connection. The Edirol MD-P1-S's operation panel features knobs and dedicated buttons that allow you to assign clips smoothly. This Edirol MD-P1-S package is compatible with Mac (OSX) and PC computers (Windows XP/2000).

DJ-Style Visual Performance
Just like taking two musical tracks and fading them back and forth, scratching or adding effects, the idea is the same with motion dive. Use the smooth A/B Fader to alternate between channel A and B, scratch the clips rhythmically with the Scratch controls, and use the front-panel knobs to control color-EQ effects and BPM. Select video clips quickly by dragging and dropping them into the A and B output channels, or by using the large dial and Channel buttons on the controller.

Audio & Visual Collaboration
With motion dive, the visuals can played and remixed in real time along with the music. The performances can be recorded and played back as one piece of artwork. Motion dive receives MIDI messages, therefore MIDI-compatible instruments can be connected to the controller unit for live video triggering.

Physical Control
The MD-P1 is a dedicated physical controller designed for the "motion dive .tokyo performance package." Connection to a computer is taken care of by a single USB cable. Power is supplied via USB to make set up simple, eliminating the need for an external power supply. The operation panel of Edirol MD-P1-S has dedicated buttons and controllers that allow you to smoothly assign clips and freely mix channels A and B. Expression that requires continuous, minute changes that are difficult to control using a mouse are handled easily and intuitively by turning knobs. Enjoy direct and spontaneous control, similar to that of a DJ mixer.

Wide-Ranging File Support
Motion dive accepts QuickTime movies and most picture formats from digital cameras, as well as AVI and MPEG files, and Macromedia Flash content. To get started right away, motion dive comes with a video library created by top professional VJ artists. Motion dive is compatible with Mac (OSX) and PC (XP/2000).
