Focusrite Saffire Pro 10 i/o FireWire audio interface features the same Green Series preamps and converters as the Saffire PRO 26 i/o interface, Focusrite Saffire Control Pro highly integrated I/O and moniotring control software, and the option to create addition inputs and outputs by aggregating up to three Saffire PRO 10 i/o interfadces while controlling them from the same control platform. And Saffire PRO 10 i/o and Saffire PRO 26 i/o can be run together. Also Saffire PRO can be used in standalone mode to record or mix without a computer once the desired mode has been chosen in SaffireControl PRO software.

Focusrite Saffire Pro 10 i/o combines eight channels of Focusrite Green Series preamplification with slectable XLR (with software switchable +48V phantom power on Inputs 1-4 and 5-8) or 1/4-inch TRS inputs, eight balanced line outputs and stereo S/PDIF I/O in a 19" rackmount case. The Saffire Pro 10 i/o offers two channels of DI instrument inputs for electric guitars and basses. The front panel includes two independent headphone outputs with volume control. All analogue inputs, outputs and S/PDIF inputs and outputs can be run simultaneously at 44.1/48kHZ. The Saffire PRO 10 i/o can be either FireWire bus powered off a standard 6-pin FireWire port or via an external power supply, and has been designed to take advantage of the external PSU and to maximize performance when powered in this way. Saffire Pro 10 i/o also features 16-channels of MIDI I/O.

Saffire Pro 10 i/o comes bundled with Focusrite's Compression, Reverb, Amp Sim guitar amp modelling, and EQ VST/AU plug-ins for use in the mix. SaffireControl PRO software provides a Mix section where all 10 input levels can be set, controls for setting the sample rate, synching the hardware to an external source, and level controls for all outputs. SaffireControl PRO can be shrunk down and be made to float over the top of the sequencer, so settings can be easily viewd or editied.

Saffire PRO 10 i/o is compatible with Windows XP and Mac OSX (Intel compatible), and will work with all ASIO and Core Audio compatible software.
