Native Instruments Elektrik Pianoprovides the sounds of four legendary e-pianos, the Fender Rhodes MK 1, the Fender Rhodes MK 2, the Wurlitzer A 200 and the Hohner Clavinet E. For each of the instruments, NI sound designers created a wide range of presets and sound variations, using various effects and modulation. The presets of Native Instruments Elektrik also include typical sounding instruments from well known musicians and songs.Native Instruments Elektrik's four knobs on the left side of the interface are multi-function knobs that are assigned to varying effect parameters, depending on the preset for maximum ease of use. This allows the player to quickly alter the sound of a patch and the settings of knobs can easily be saved as "Performances" for instant recall. On registering the product, the purchaser is able to download additional presets which are medium and small versions of the presets delivered with the software. For those users wanting "Direct from Disc" (DFD) streaming, a downloadable extension is available that allows for playing the large libraries directly from a hard drive. This makes Native Instruments Elektrik possible to use the large instruments independently of the amount of installed RAM, and also means that all instruments load many times faster than the corresponding RAM-based instruments.
