Our VCA-based compressor is renowned for its richness and quick attack, as well as its ability to control the quickest transients. The Studio Channel’s compressor lets you record blazing-hot signals with precise dynamics control, from slap bass to snare drum to voices. This preamp has a simple Auto Attack/Release tool with preset attack and release curves, in addition to ratio, threshold, attack, release and gain controls. Gain decrease or output gain can be displayed on the illuminated VU meter.
The equalizer on the PreSonus Studio Channel is like a Swiss Army pocket knife, allowing you to chop away undesired frequencies while also customizing your tone to improve your sound. The EQ’s custom-designed amplifiers provide sweet-sounding gain/cut for extremely smooth highs, deep, solid lows and crisp middle. The EQ section’s mid-band contains a variable Q for altering the breadth around the selected frequency’s center point. The high and low-frequency bands in PreSonus Studio Channel allow you to choose between peak/dip and shelving frequencies.
