Presonus Digimax LT 8-Channel Microphone Preamp

Presonus Digimax LT provides eight channels of microphone pre-amplification, with inserts on every channel for treating signals with outboard processors (compression, limiting etc.) Only digital output is available via ADAT Lightpipe connection.

Each channel features high performance, dual servo microphone preamplifiers with 48V phantom power, and -20dB pad. Input to the DigiMAX LT is via Neutrik Combo connectors that accept line level or microphone inputs (note, the pad only functions on the microphone input, not the line input.) A section at the extreme right of the front panel contains a sample rate selector switch with LED indicators providing for 32, 44.1 and 48kHz sample rates. This section also contains a switch for enabling synchronization via an external clock. When this switch is engaged the operating clock rate is determined by the incoming signal from an external device through the word clock in input on the back panel of the unit.

The DigiMAX LT is the perfect partner for recording systems such as Digidesign's 001/002 or MOTU's 2408 systems, as well as numerous digital mixers and hard disk recorders that feature ADAT Lightpipe connectivity. The unit is powered by an internal power supply.

*NOTE*: The DigiMAX LT has no regular analog output (modified 1/4" TRS phone cables can be used with the insert points to obtain analog output.) Otherwise an optical digital cable needs to purchased for the unit to function. Both the digital output and the insert outputs are available simultaneously.
