RME Multiface II and HDSPe PCI Express Card Bundle for Desktop Compute
RME Multiface IIoffers the best possible performance in terms of low-latency operation and CPU load, due to its PCI interface, which still surpasses current technologies like FireWire. Reason enough to apply the latest technological developments to an update of the Multiface, thus making a proven product even better. The new Multiface II stays 100% compatible with the current model's firmware and driver. It offers the same set of features, settings, and the same low-latency, zero-CPU-load performance. RME HDSPe PCIis the desktop computer component of the system. RME HDSPe PCI is based on the Hammerfall PCI core with zero CPU load technology, and is optimized for high performance. Due to current technology, internal high-speed RAM can be used faster and more efficient than external SRAM. Up to a 130MB/s transfer rate allows for maximum audio performance in both directions and additionally the card is fully "plug and play" compatible under Windows and Mac OS.The connection between PCIe card and I/O box is established using ordinary firewire cable (IEEE 1394, 6-pole). The data transfer does not use Firewire protocol, but RME's own proprietary bus protocol. The supplied cable is 4.5 m (15 ft.) long, a cable length up to 15 m (48 ft.) has been successfully tested. Features Includes Desktop PCIe card Incorporates new features from Fireface Other improvements of the RME Multiface II include the removal of the ADAT Sync interface (D-sub) on the back of the current Multiface (since it is hardly used any more). The added space allows the analog TRS jacks on the Multiface II to be moved further apart, so that eight Neutrik jacks now fit side by side. Additionally, a cable hook used to secure power and audio cables has been added. Audio interface with proven reliability Multiface II
