Roland SP404 Sampling Workstation

Roland SP404 is a portable, "AA" battery or AC adapter-powered sampling drum machine and pattern generator, equipped with 12 trigger pads, and offering 24-bit A-D and D-A conversion. The unit records to Compact Flash cards, supporting capacities of up to 1GB, and saves in either WAV or AIFF file format for simplified data transfer to external computers. The SP404 ’s sleek, silver look is new to the SP family, and it surpasses its predecessor by offering battery-power compatibility, a CompactFlash slot, and a built-in microphone for quick, stress-free sampling sessions.
