Wavelab Studio 6from Steinberg is an audio editor and mastering suite software package that is based on the same sample accurate 32-bit audio engine found in WaveLab 6. The software also offers most of the same wide-ranging processing tools, only omitting some of the more esoteric processors.WaveLab Studio 6 offers a very flexible environment with user customizable settings for appearance and window control with a vast set of key commands. The Wavelab Studio 6 Audio Montage processor provides non-destructive, real-time editing with editing tasks and actions either processed in real-time or rendered into new audio material. Up to two VST or DirectX effect plug-ins can be applied on both tracks and clips, producing an extremely flexible processing matrix. Up to six plug-ins can be used globally on any Montage. And because only clips that are actually being played are process with the corresponding plug-ins, the plug-in processing also makes highly efficient use of the computer's CPU resources. The Wavelab Studio 6 software offers a huge range of analysis tools displaying almost any conceivable aspect of the audio material. A huge set of resizable displays include level and phase information, spectral analysis, a bit meter, oscilloscope and waveform scope. WaveLab Studio 6 includes a complete suite of sophisticated audio plug-ins such as hi-end EQ, Multiband Compressor, Dynamics and Reverb. The DeNoiser and DeClicker plug-ins are excellent realtime tools for audio restauration while Crystal a professional sample rate converter provides exceptional transparency and preservation of the frequency content up to 192kHz.
