Echo Indigo DJ
is a handy solution for the digital DJ attached with a notebook computer. Echo Indigo DJ features 2 independent stereo 1/8 inch analog outputs that let you cue mix on headphones while playing back the house mix on the other; one for setting up your cue mix on a pair of headphones, and the other for the house mix. Each output of Echo Indigo DJ features 24-bit/96kHz converters for the quality you ought to have. 6 ft. audio cables for RCA or 1/4 in. connections are included. Echo Indigo DJ's most astonishing feature is the use of "virtual" outputs. Indigo DJ appears to software as if it has eight separate outputs, which are digitally assorted down to the physical outputs using Indigo DJ's "console" software and its on-board DSP. This makes Indigo DJ compatible with all popular multi-track software.

01/06/2008 - Almost Perfect! I sent one email and made one phone call to tech support in regards to my issue. (garbled noise from the headphone out) I had found numerous posts on laptop forums all over the Net regarding problems with the ENE chipset, but found no links to the actual utility provided by Echo. (most disappointing was that Echo itself didn't have links on their site) Even during the duration of this call (during which I was not spoken down to and had a very good, brief conversation as soon as I got through, which was immediately) I received in my email a link to the utility, along with simple instructions. The tech was courteous, one of the best tech support calls I've had. The same tech also replied to my email (I had sent the email over the weekend and thought the phone path may prove quicker but I got replies through both channels) Again, Echo, put a link up to the damn utility!!!

09/09/2006 - The first thing you will notice when you play an mp3 is the well improved Bass, near pristine high ends. A few hours with the Indigo io and you'll hate to listen to anything without it. Indigo gives you much more depth to the music and overall a fabulously improved sound quality.

07/29/2006 - What an excellent product. It's intuitive, not too cumbersome and it really makes a difference in the way mobile PC sound plays into external audio equipment. I like the analog volume control; it's really easy to adjust the output level. Other cards have a GUI that is not as easy to use or locate on the fly. As far as the performance, it's definately the best I have used so far.
