Unit is very reliable and remains cool even through hours of recording. I recommend keeping the room cool anyway because equipment in general tends to run hot after hours of use. I am very satisfied with the unit and I recommend it for all home and project studios. I also recommend that these complainers learn more about recording and using their equipment before blasting this unit online.

I run a 2.8, 512, P4 with win xp. I have had nothing but good experiences with this unit. I use an external mixer and a bunch of outboard gear and no problems at all. The sound quality is excellent, and I had no problems installing it or anything like I've read about some people having. I can throw ANYTHING at it, and it works flawlessly. I'm going to buy another one so I can have 16 inputs and outputs. If you are looking to get serious, and start up a serious project studio get this, it really is great.

High quality - I've used this interface for 2+ years (however long they've been out), and it's never failed. Well, it looks to me a bit like some sort of medical equipment, but I like the utilitarian vibe - it looks like it's well-made, if nothing else. Excellent converters, best I've heard in price range.

Very very good card. I have just recorded 3 tracks for a new album in the studio, one track running about 24 tracks (drums in new York parallel) with plugin compressors/eq on vocals, backing , guitars, bass, midi. Using hardware compression on in, plugin compressors inside. Never had any problems with cracking/pops, very tight sound that also has warmth.

Excellent sound quality and you could really hear what is going on. The converter in the box really does a nice job for such a fairly priced product. Having the breakout box and not having it in the case it seems to cut out a lot of noise. Awesome Soundcard for the money!
