M-Audio Delta 1010LT

PCI audio interface delivers much of the same universal connectivity, high fidelity and seamless performance as the popular Delta 1010 on a single PCI card—and at a fraction of the price. M-Audio Delta 1010LT's multiple analog I/O, MIDI, S/PDIF and surround sound support are all here. Two inputs even have mic/line preamps on XLR connectors, saving the expense of outboard preamps. M-Audio Delta 1010LT is all on a compact, half-size PCI card with two color-coded breakout cables. Combine up to four Deltas in your system for a maximum of 32 analog and four stereo S/PDIF inputs and outputs.

36-bit Embedded DSP

All Delta cards contain a 36-bit embedded DSP enabling a software-driven patchbay/router for all analog and digital I/O—all with extremely fast throughput for low-latency software monitoring. A single unified control panel of M-Audio Delta 1010LT provides settings for clock and sample rates, buffer sizes, individual signal levels for every input and output, adjustable +4dBu/-10dBV pad conrols and digital I/O control on up to four installed Delta cards. All controls of M-Audio Delta 1010LT are also easily accessible through most professional audio software applications for seamless integration and operation.

Specification

10x10 24-bit/96khz full-duplex recording interface. PCI host card with 2 external, color-coded breakout cables.

8x8 analog I/O, balanced on female XLR and unbalanced on gold-plated RCA connectors, with signal level adjustments selectable within the Delta Control Panel.

S/PDIF digital I/O supports a variety of modes, including AC3 or DTS surround (PC only) and copy protection schemes can be set via the Delta Control Panel.

1x1 MIDI I/O on standard DIN jacks.

External synchronization via word Clock I/O on BNC connectors.

The 2 balanced XLR analog inputs can be set via hardware jumpers to accept microphone level or line level signals.

10/18/2011 - Great quality for value！This Delta 1010lt PCI card is extremely quiet and stable, especially on ASIO drivers. There may more expensive cards for sale, but in my opinion, this is the best card in this price range, and rival cards that cost over 4 times as much.

02/01/2011 - I bought this for recording mostly guitars and vocals, but I wanted enough inputs that I could record a drumset. I had some problems with the preamps being too hot, but I changed the jumpers on the card that fixed it. Installation was smooth. What really surprised me was how clear and clean music sounded compared to the built in card on my motherboard. I was expecting music to sound better, but it was alot less muddy and it just sounded 100x better.

12/25/2010 - This hardware is a very good starting or pro tool. It records eight-tracks at the same time. Just be sure to use di boxes on line-in for instruments, because you need to boost your input for a cleaner signal. This product works very well with Cubase LE

07/20/2010 - I own a delta 1010 LT and a delta 44 and between the 2 i have never needed anything more to acomplish any project that comes my way. may it be a live band situation or private studio to garge band it is amazing equipment that i would never think in a million years would be so affordable, relible and compatible..... Congrats!!!

I think this is the cheapest way to get 8 24-bit ins to your computer for recording drums. its got every connection there is almost except adat i/o. other then that, 10in/10out....its the best interface at this price. also, dont worry about buying your software first if your getting this card. It comes with reason adapted and abelton live LE. not the full programs, but a lot of good stuff. I use the reason adapted as a rewire slave. its going to meet my needs for....as long as i can look forward. i recommend this card.

04/08/2010 - This card offers amazing capability and sound for very little hiss. I mainly use the "spdif in" to record from my ART DPSII, and I have no complaints recording at 24/44.1. The built in preamps, which were a big sell for me at the time, turned out to be useless sonically. I now use them for either talk-back mikes, scat vocals or I convert them to balanced line-ins. No latency is accomplished with the built-in software mixer, and overdubbing / monitoring was a breeze, even without a mixer. I had the Delta 1010 LT and Audiophile 2496 installed at the same time. They both showed up in the driver software, but I couldn't monitor the inputs of both cards at the same time. Strange, but I'm sure two Delta 1010 LT cards would work fine with an outboard mixer. At least I plan to find out, by dropping another 1010 LT into this system. The 1010 LT works great with my Windows 98 / Samplitude 6.0 system. Aside from the noisy preamps, I love it...Totally!
