 music production software delivers a major update over the previous version - Reason 5, taking this music software package to new levels of sophistication. Now, Reason 6 combines all the features from Record and Reason, featuring audio recording and editing for the very first time. Reason 6 also comes loaded with Propellerhead's acclaimed mixing console with masterfully modelled EQ and dynamics on every channel, multiple parallel racks, Line 6 amp models, new effect devices plus additional features.

New effects include The Echo, Alligator, Pulverizer and Neptune, giving more flexibility than ever to create the sounds you hear in your head.
The Echo - an advanced stereo echo bringing together the brilliance of modern delays with the organic sounds of analog circuitry and old-school tape machines. The Echo is equal parts pristine stereo delay, sound sculpturing toolbox, and playable performance effect.
Alligator - a three band pattern-based gate effect that turns bland pads into rhythmic textures, radically twists your loops, and tweak boring beats into blockrocking breaks.
Pulveriser - puts crunchy compression, dirty distortion, a multimode filter and flexible modulation in a single, sound-crunching effect.
Neptune - turns your performances into pitch-perfect ones in no time. Simply play your new harmonies on your MIDI keyboard for instant backing vocals.

Features

Record Audio
The integration of audio recording is the biggest new feature of Reason 6. Reason 6 is now a complete DAW. All of the audio and editing features of Propellerhead Record have been integrated, add this to the mixing console, multiple parallel racks, and the killer effects of Reason and you get a new powerhouse in the DAW world.

New Effects
Reason has always been known for its amazing effects collection, and these latest additions in Reason 6 are sure to become favorites. The Echo is a multi-purpose delay tool. Create everything from slight delays to complete stutters, use the filters and envelopes to further tweak your sound and morph it into something new. The Alligator is a three-channel pattern-based gate. When a signal enters it is split into three signals, each of which are independently processed. Next the signals are sent through a filter section and FX section to tweak to your heart's content. Reason 6 also includes the Pulverizer, a crunchy compressor with dirty distortion, a multimode filter and flexible modulation. Neptune is a full-featured pitch correction and voice synth device.

New workflow and technology enhancements
Reason 6 makes recording and creating simple. Ever have an issue where you record all the back-up music only to have the singer need another key? The new audio transpose function lets you change the key of your piece without re-recording. The legendary time stretch feature lets you pick a change the tempo of you song, even after all the parts are recorded. A huge recording meter allows you to play your guitar across the room and still see what is going on. Being a 64-bit program, Reason 6 is more powerful and robust than ever.
