I am Pastor in our local town. This camera is one of the best cameras I have ever seen in my life and when presently I need one for my personal use. It provides crisp images with accurate color and Sony's Super SteadyShot Optical Stabilization System to minimize shake and vibration. It is an excellent prosumer MiniDV camcorder. It its best suited for advanced users who don't necessarily require all the manual controls found in more professional models.

I work in video production, and sometimes our crew does live concerts. We have been able to mount 2-390's in the front stage truss, and angle them down gretting great shots of the performers onstage. The cams have held up well. I have just put the white balance on auto as well as the iris. The zoom and focus I put in manual thanks to the dip switches.
