Sony ECM-678/9X

 is a short shotgun, electret condenser-type microphone, delivering outstanding sound performance in all field production and broadcast studio applications. It is also well-suited for use on Sony professional camcorders like the HDV Series, DVCAM Series, and XDCAM Series.

The ECM-678/9X mic provides excellent sensitivity, low inherent noise, and extreme durability. Its highly directional response allows clear voice pick-up even in the most demanding of environments, while the built-in low-cut filter switch helps to reduce unwanted pop and wind noise encountered in the field. It also features a low-cut filter switch that eliminates noise and low frequency rumble.

The ECM-678/9X is the ideal choice for quality-critical sound-acquisition application, thanks to its high performance and durability.

• Camera and Boom Pole Mountable
  The ECM-678/9X mic is mountable on boom poles and Sony HDV Series, DVCAM Series and XDCAM Series cameras.
• Flat and Wide Frequency Response
  Its wide flat frequency response enables accurate, detailed reproduction of a wide range of signal sources.
• High Sensitivity and Low Noise
  The super-cardioid polar pattern is effective in rejecting off-axis noise, resulting in a close and focused pick up of the desired signal.
• Low-Cut Filter
  The ECM-678/9X features a low cut filter switch that eliminates low frequency hum, wind noise, ambient noise and proximity effect noise.
