When tracking in untreated rooms, the large-diaphragm condenser capsule’s cardioid polar pattern minimizes feedback and off-axis noise. Use the -10 dB pad to gain headroom and capture extremely loud sources up to 158 dB SPL without distortion. When low-frequency rumble/hum or overpowering bass enter your signal, activate the 80 Hz high-pass filter switch to reduce the lows without using EQ. Because the AT2035 is a solid-state condenser with an XLR output, it should be paired with an XLR-equipped mic preamp that can send 48V phantom power or anything between 11 and 52 VDC.
