Open box return. Everything is new and cosmetically great.
The RC-505MK2 Loop Station from BOSS has been updated with amazing dynamic range, increased looping time, and greater rhythmic assistance from its internal processors. Before we discuss the modifications, let’s take a closer look at what the Loop Station is: The tabletop-sized BOSS RC-505MKII is a live performance instrument for loop artists. Five stereo phrase tracks and several loop playback behaviors are easily controlled with the tip of the finger, and a selection of input and track effects offers a variety of real-time processing possibilities.
Similar to the original, this device has independent record, overdub, play, and stop buttons for each track, enabling the recording and management of loop performances as well as real-time mixing of loop levels and the storage of up to 99 phrase memories. The RC-505MK2 has three noteworthy upgrades: The recording duration has been increased from three hours for stereo to one hour and a half for each track, for a total of about thirteen hours. Second, there are now more than 200 different percussion sound types available for rhythmic assistance, up from 85 previously. Finally, the BOSS RC-505MKII has a 32-bit float signal route, which significantly improves dynamic range preservation over the original’s 16-bit linear resolution. This is quite exciting for guitarists who adore dynamic range. There is also a power adaptor.
