A professional ultra-low-latency Thunderbolt 3 audio interface, the PreSonus Quantum 2626 offers up to 26 inputs and 26 outputs of mixed analog and digital connections. Low-latency recording is possible with the unit’s converters, which also support DA (digital to analog) and AD (analog to digital) conversions with dynamic ranges of 115 dB. Additionally, the Quantum 2626 records audio at 24-bit resolution with sampling rates as high as 192 kHz.
The Quantum 2626 provides eight inputs and eight outputs for analog I/O. PreSonus recallable XMAX preamps are used for microphone inputs, which include eight combo XLR-1/4″ XLR jacks for instrument (channels 1-2), mic-level (channels 1-8 or line-level (1-8) signals, as well as two 1/4″ preamp outputs and two 1/4″ line returns. Eight 1/4″ TRS outputs, two 1/4″ main outputs and two headphone jacks with dedicated volume controls round out the output section.
With two banks of optical ADAT I/O and S/PDIF connectors, the total number of ins and outs for the digital I/O is 26×26. The unit has BNC wordclock connections, enabling wordclock synchronization with other pieces of equipment in your studio like a master clock. Connect your MIDI controller to the 5-pin DIN MIDI I/O to send MIDI signals. Each channel has eight LEDs that display signal presence and clipping information. PreSonus Studio One Artists and the Studio Magic Plug-In Suite are supplied with the PreSonus Quantum 2626 along with a 12 VDC power source for operation.
